Why Recruit our students:

NC State Financial Mathematics graduate students are among the most talented in the world. They enter the workforce ready to use the skills and knowledge they have gained from their education here.

NC State Financial Mathematics program provides technically trained professionals with skill sets in math, finance, and computer programming. Their careers span energy and other commodities trading, startups, joint ventures, risk management, financial services, banking, wealth and asset management, insurance, government agencies, trading companies, hedge funds, information technology, and consulting.

Our students are also trained in professional and career development skills including presentation, communication, business writing, critical observation, conflict resolution and problem solving skills.

We encourage you to take advantage of various activities, event and programs to market your organization to our students and alumni. If you have any questions, contact us: Financial_Mathematics@ncsu.edu.

Market your organization:

Recruiters can promote their company to our MFM students anytime during the academic year. If you want to stand out, here are great opportunities your company can participate in:

Friday Seminars

: Be a guest (or a guest speaker) at our Friday Seminars which occur each Friday at 130pm in SAS Hall.

Info Sessions

: Set up an informal (meet and greet) or formal (presentation and reception) information session to brand your organization to MFM students. These typically take place in the early evenings at SAS Hall.

Job Shadowing:

Host a few Financial Math students at your company for an afternoon. Meeting with professionals to learn hands-on about careers is a great experiential learning opportunity for our students, and a chance for your company to scope out potential interns or full-time employees.

Financial Math Projects: Engage with students by leading or mentoring quantitative research projects.
